Sometimes I just feel like making a mess.

Busy

I just finished packing up a job and my desktop is
messy. I still have Christmas cards to make, presents
to wrap and more work to finish before Christmas.


But first I have a snowy road to explore.

Owl Project

I am happy to be taking part in the Keene State Owl Project.
Keene State holds a great Children's Literature Festival
every year. They also house an impressive amount of original
artwork from picture books. In support of that, they asked
picture book artists to create an original piece on an owl,
the school's mascot.

Mighty Hunter

Now that we have a dog, we are finally able to keep the
wild sock population around here under control.

Robert's Snow 2007

Last winter between Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day
we had more snow than anyone can remember. Shoveling
out was a never ending burden, and the snow we had looked
so forward to felt more like a curse.

But when I took a break and looked up at the snowy sky
I had never seen anything so beautiful.

Every day for the last week, storms have been threatening, but rarely do
they materialize.

Realization

Whacked!

I'm feeling very conflicted. I spend a good part of my
days drawing cute and happy mice, but for the last
few months, mice have been the enemy. They have
invaded my home. Drastic measures are called for.

Spring!!

Not to worry. The crocuses have finally arrived, poking
their heads up through the old dirty snow. Spring is finally
on it's way!

Seriously! For the last 14 days, snow has
fallen. I worry for my crocuses.

Spring is almost here. Everything is gray and brown,
