High above the misty valley,



We followed the road


to waterfalls


and wildflowers.

I love where I live now, but there is
nothing like the place of my childhood. There
fences tumble under flowers,


and purple pom poms catch the breeze.


Sometimes creatures stand stone still,


Sometimes they are so fleeting you can't be sure if they are real.
