Every morning

Every morning at sunrise the fidgety brown dog
gets me up for a walk.

Sometimes we find fierce sticks

and strawberries, tiny and wild.

Finally we get to the waterfall.

The water is lovely.

Then we head home,

where I am ready to face the tasks of the day,

and the brown dog is no longer fidgety.

little snow off in the distance.
